About the Department

Duties & Responsibilities

The Addison Township Fire Department operates as a combination department, comprising a Fire Chief, Assistant Chief, Captain, two Lieutenants, full-time firefighter/paramedics, and a dedicated team of Paid-On-Call firefighters. The department maintains two stations, with Station 1 staffed around the clock by a minimum of two full-time personnel, ensuring 24/7 emergency readiness.
The department responds to all 911 emergencies and provides mutual aid to neighboring jurisdictions as needed. Paid-On-Call firefighters play a vital role in the department’s operations. These committed individuals generously dedicate their time—often beyond their personal and professional obligations—to support emergency services and enhance the community's safety and well-being.
